Synopsis

The video unfolds like a dark fairy tale staged inside an old theater. A gray, childlike figure shoots a red bird with a slingshot before the band appears as musicians accompanying a play. At its center is a love story following a boy and girl from childhood into adulthood. Their romance ends when the woman eats a poisonous red berry and dies, while the closing birth of a baby wrapped in red suggests that life, death, and rebirth are part of one continuous cycle.

• The video's concept originated from a dream Shavo Odadjian had. In the dream, a boy offered a girl berries without realizing they were poisonous.
