Synopsis

A group of schoolchildren move through classrooms, corridors, and a gym while releasing intense, unexpected bursts of emotion and physical energy. Their movements range from awkward and aggressive to exuberant and graceful, turning ordinary school spaces into stages for feelings that are usually held back. Rather than following a conventional storyline, the video presents a series of expressive vignettes about childhood, individuality, and the force of emotions beneath serious young faces.

• The children were reportedly cast partly on the basis of whether they were willing to "dance ugly," favoring uninhibited movement over polished technique.

• The school used for the shoot had personal significance to the filmmaker, who had attended it himself.
