Synopsis

Fettes Brot appear as members of a marching band led by a young woman. Wearing matching uniforms, the trio moves through Cape Town, passing urban streets, beaches, wooded areas, and open sand dunes. The procession follows the song's march-like rhythm while the band members perform along the way. In the final sequence, a meteorite crashes into the dunes and strikes the three musicians. As they lie motionless in the sand, the marching band continues onward without stopping.

Factoids & Trivia

  • The video was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, and premiered in February 2005.
  • The marching-band concept mirrors the song's prominent marching rhythm and gives the performance a deliberately ceremonial feel.
  • The uniforms came from a marching band based in Cape Town rather than being created solely for the production.
  • The video runs for approximately 3 minutes and 29 seconds.
  • "Emanuela" was Fettes Brot's entry for Schleswig-Holstein in the 2005 Bundesvision Song Contest, where it finished second.
  • The song later won both Best Song and Best Band at the 2005 Comet Awards. It was also nominated for Best Video and Most Successful Download.
  • The single became one of the group's biggest commercial successes, reaching No. 3 in Germany and No. 1 in Austria.
