Synopsis

A woman arrives at Los Angeles Union Station by taxi while a man follows close behind, creating the impression of two people racing toward a long-awaited reunion. Lifehouse perform throughout the station, on downtown Los Angeles rooftops, and atop the Roosevelt Hotel. As the couple moves through the terminal, their separate paths finally converge on a train platform, where they embrace and kiss before the train pulls away. The video closes with the band seated in the station's waiting hall.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video premiered on MTV.com on March 21, 2005, before being released for digital download through iTunes on March 30, 2005.

• Much of the narrative was filmed at Los Angeles Union Station. Other scenes use downtown rooftops and the roof of the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard.

• The song was written by Jason Wade and Jude Cole. Wade has explained that it began as a personal song connected to his engagement and was also intended for a movie love scene.

• The clip became closely associated with the song's success during its long run on the Billboard Hot 100. "You and Me" eventually spent more than 60 weeks on the chart.

• Beau Clark, later known for his relationship with reality television personality Stassi Schroeder, appears as the male lead in the video.
