Synopsis
The Smashing Pumpkins perform in an ornate, dreamlike world inspired by Oscar Wilde's Salome. Billy Corgan appears as a romantic, otherworldly figure surrounded by elaborate costumes, sculptural sets, theatrical gestures, and imagery drawn from Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations. The band members are integrated into the stylized tableau rather than shown in a conventional performance setting. The result is a darkly elegant visual companion to the song's sweeping declaration of devotion.
