Synopsis

A young woman moves through the routine of a high-street hair salon, but the video repeatedly slips into a more dreamlike world. At night, she meets a young man beside an outdoor swimming pool, where their attraction unfolds in a mood of intimacy and suspended time. The contrast between the workplace and the pool captures the pull of an imagined weekend escape: ordinary responsibilities on one side, fleeting romance and freedom on the other. The story remains impressionistic, balancing youthful longing with the knowledge that the moment will pass.

Factoids & Trivia

• "World Peace" was one of Real Lies' earliest releases. It appeared with "Deeper" as a double A-side through Sweet Exile and Marathon Artists in November 2013.

• The song is built around a sample from Jean-Luc Ponty's "Computer Incantations For World Peace." The track's euphoric Balearic sound helped it become one of the group's breakthrough songs, and it was named Zane Lowe's "Hottest Record in the World."

• The video's production was handled through Somesuch. Dan Stafford-Clark served as director of photography, while Framestore completed the color grade.

• Emerald Lewis and Jermaine Gallacher appear as the central couple.
