Synopsis

A young boy named Simon is questioned after being accused of wiping out an armed SWAT team. As the interrogation unfolds, the video cuts back to the operation, where heavily equipped soldiers search a dark, industrial environment and encounter a brutal, minotaur-like creature. The confrontation becomes increasingly chaotic as the team is picked off one by one. In the closing reveal, the monster is shown to be Simon himself, transforming the apparent child witness into the force responsible for the massacre.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was produced in France by HKCORP and carries a 2010 production copyright, although the official online release appeared in April 2011.

• Cinematographer Sylvain Sechet recorded the production with RED ONE cameras. The video combines controlled live-action photography with visual effects and post-production work.

• The cast includes Brendan Corrigan as Simon, Claude Morville as the creature, and a large ensemble playing the SWAT unit. Noisia and Foreign Beggars also appear on screen as members of the team.

• The visual concept matches the track's aggressive drum-and-bass production and lyrics, which use the Minotaur as a central image.

• "Shellshock" grew out of Noisia's early studio work with Foreign Beggars. The two acts had first connected through sessions related to Noisia's "Split the Atom," before developing material that eventually led to their broader I Am Legion collaboration.

• Noisia later described "Shellshock" as an important tune in their catalog, particularly remembering the intense moshpits and "walls of death" it inspired during live performances.
