Synopsis

An animated tribute to the artists who shaped Vienio and Kosi's hip-hop sensibility, "Inspiracje 2" turns a long lyrical roll call into a fast-moving visual collage. Stylized portraits, graphic symbols, lettering and shifting scenes evoke the golden age of American rap and its wider international family. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the video works like a cinematic mixtape: a colorful, densely edited celebration of the names, crews and sounds that helped define the artists' musical identity.

• The song appears on Vienio's 2010 solo album "Etos 2010," released through Respekt Records.

• The video was published in December 2010 as one of the promotional clips for "Etos 2010."

• It is an animated production rather than a conventional performance video. The design and animation were created by the teams Full Metal Jacket and Intelect.

• Wojtek Koss and Jurek Gruchot worked with Full Metal Jacket, while Bartek Kalinowski and Ignacy Ostrowski represented Intelect. Kamil Szczepanski handled the camera work.

• The lyrics name-check a large cross-section of hip-hop history, including artists and groups such as Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, Run-D.M.C., Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and N.W.A.

• The track functions as a follow-up to the earlier "Inspiracje" from the Molesta + Kumple project, continuing Vienio's idea of building a song around his musical influences.
