Synopsis

After arriving at an airport, fun. discover that their battered brown suitcase has gone missing. The band's search for the wayward luggage takes them through Seattle, where the bag seems to have a life and journey of its own. As Nate Ruess, Jack Antonoff, and Andrew Dost follow its trail, frustration gradually gives way to resignation. Just when they accept that the suitcase is gone for good, it turns up at their home, carrying the instruments and belongings they had been chasing.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was released on February 26, 2013, as the visual companion to "Why Am I the One," the fourth single from the album "Some Nights."

• The story was filmed in Seattle, and the city becomes an active part of the suitcase's journey rather than merely serving as background scenery.

• Jack Antonoff described the video as more serious and meaningful than its whimsical premise might suggest. He connected the lost luggage to the band's constant travel and the sacrifices behind their success.

• The suitcase is the video's central character. The band members spend much of the running time reacting to its movements, giving an otherwise ordinary piece of luggage an almost independent personality.
