Synopsis

The video opens on close-up footage of deer in a wooded landscape, then turns the animals into subjects of a restless visual study. Naturalistic images are interrupted by stark geometric overlays, diagrams, labels and statistics, while human viewpoints on nature repeatedly intrude. The montage shifts between observation, abstraction and visual assault, mirroring the track's heavy, chaotic dubstep. Rather than following a conventional story, it contrasts the animals' quiet presence with the systems, measurements and assumptions through which people frame and control the natural world.
