Synopsis

In a stark, wintry Danish landscape, a young woman becomes fixated on finding scattered jigsaw puzzle pieces. Her search takes her through snow-covered surroundings and quiet domestic spaces, where the ordinary gradually takes on an uncanny, dreamlike quality. Each discovered fragment seems to promise completion, yet the process remains repetitive and elusive. The video's measured editing and tactile imagery mirror the track's layered electronic rhythms, turning a simple search into an absorbing portrait of obsession, patience, and the desire to make disconnected parts fit together.

Factoids & Trivia

• "Answered" was the first track Kelpe began for the album *Fourth: The Golden Eagle*. He started it after acquiring an APC40 controller for use with Ableton Live.

• The track was built from textures sampled from different vinyl records, alongside looped guitar parts, drum recordings, and synthesizers.

• Kelpe said the video's concept came from the filmmaking team rather than from him. For the album's videos, he deliberately handed creative control to other people after previously making some of his own.

• The video was released in connection with the "Answered" single and EP on Kelpe's own DRUT Records imprint. The EP appeared in April 2013, ahead of *Fourth: The Golden Eagle* in June.

• Kelpe's decision to self-release the album followed rejections from more than 20 labels.

• The song began the album-making process but ultimately became the closing track, with nine other pieces created afterward to build toward it.
