Synopsis

Styled like the opening credits of a lost 1970s action series, the video follows several interconnected characters through sun-drenched Sydney locations. Two glamorous investigator duos move between beaches, boats, nightlife and staged moments of danger, while a shadowy villain presides over the action. The fragmented scenes suggest a larger spy story without resolving it, turning the song into the theme for an imaginary television show. Its exaggerated poses, colorful costumes and pulpy atmosphere make the clip feel deliberately theatrical and nostalgic.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was conceived as a fictional movie or television-show introduction rather than a conventional performance clip. Its visual language draws on 1970s action cinema and television, including the style associated with James Bond, "Baywatch," "Starsky & Hutch" and "Charlie's Angels."

• The creative idea was influenced by the song itself and by renewed interest in the glossy, retro world of "Boogie Nights." The production intentionally favored an inexpensive, playful 1970s aesthetic over abstract or heavily computer-generated imagery.

• Although it can look like archival footage at first glance, the clip was shot as a new production in November 2011. Sydney locations included Waverley Cemetery, Rose Bay and The Ivy.

• The production uses title-sequence conventions as part of its storytelling: isolated character introductions, freeze-frame-like poses, glamorous close-ups, stylized action and credits integrated into the imagery.
