Synopsis

On a nighttime ride aboard Trondheim's Grakallbanen tram, ordinary passengers head home in silence. Their routine changes when a boombox-carrying stranger boards and brings an unexpected burst of movement into the carriage. One by one, the passengers shed their reserve and join an exuberant dance, transforming public transportation into a shared stage. Pelbo appear as part of the ensemble rather than as conventional performers, while the tram itself becomes the central setting for a playful, communal performance about breaking out of everyday conformity.

• The video was filmed on Grakallbanen, Trondheim's historic tram line, with the city’s connection to the band forming an important part of the production.

• Around 30 people took part as passenger extras. Pelbo were deliberately placed in supporting roles, allowing the dancing passengers and the tram to occupy the visual foreground.

• The video's starting point is a simple setup: passengers traveling home on an autumn evening are interrupted by a hipster carrying a boombox.

• Vocalist Ine Hoem and drummer Trond Bersu had moved to Oslo, making the Trondheim tram a deliberate way to underline Pelbo's connection to their hometown.

• "Join Their Game" was the first single from Pelbo's second album, "Days of Transcendence," released in 2011.
