Synopsis

Set against the neon glow of Miami after dark, "Nightlife" follows two young women as they move through clubs, streets, cars, and private moments from sunset toward sunrise. The city offers constant movement and visual stimulation, yet the pair remain emotionally isolated, drifting through a landscape of parties and fleeting encounters. The video balances glamorous nightlife with a strong sense of melancholy, using still, carefully composed images to emphasize the distance between the women and the world surrounding them.

• The video was released online in November 2012, ahead of the 2014 release of "Heat Wave," the album on which "Nightlife" appears.
