Synopsis

An oversized-headed animated figure drifts through a series of lonely, dreamlike spaces, including a subway carriage, a room doorway, a living room and a wide green field. The character's journey unfolds with a deliberately detached, surreal quality, as if moving through fragments of memory rather than a straightforward story. Flat graphic imagery, subdued colors and abrupt changes of location complement the song's atmospheric blend of electronic textures and half-sung vocals.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was created by QB Media, whose work uses a distinctive paper-cutout-inspired animation style and characters with unusually large heads.

• The clip grew out of an earlier QB Media animation made for "The Architekt," another Arms and Sleepers song. The band encountered that animation, and the connection eventually led to the official "Tusk" video.

• "Tusk" appears on The Organ Hearts, released on May 13, 2011. It is one of the album's vocal tracks, with Ben Shepard credited for the vocals and lyrics.

• The song later appeared on the band's 2021 compilation Album Singles, 2006-2021, giving the track and its accompanying video a place in the group's broader retrospective catalog.
