Sun Glitters - High

Synopsis

The video turns a nighttime walk through the woods into a hazy audiovisual drift. A lone figure moves through darkness as red and blue light blooms across the trees, with flare trails, blurred motion, and slow-motion fragments transforming the landscape into something dreamlike and unstable. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the clip builds an impressionistic progression in which the forest, the moving body, and the colored light merge into a single pulse, mirroring the track's woozy beat and layered electronic textures.

Factoids & Trivia

  • The video premiered through Stereogum on February 10, 2012, shortly after the release of the High EP.
  • Its central visual device is a flare-lit journey through woodland at night. Deep blue and red tones, streaking light, and heavy use of slow motion give the footage a deliberately disorienting, dream-state quality.
  • High was the title track of Sun Glitters' six-track EP, released by Music Is For Losers on January 30, 2012. The release was issued digitally and on 12-inch vinyl.
  • The EP was described by Victor Ferreira as a collaboration that began during Sun Glitters' early development, with the project becoming the first release on the Music Is For Losers label.
  • The clip belongs to the early independent visual work associated with Feel Good Lost, whose production style favored natural landscapes, experimental editing, and fast, low-budget creation.
  • Contemporary coverage regularly paired the video's blurred, nocturnal imagery with the track's slow, thudding pulse and dense electronic textures.
