Synopsis

Blouse's "Ghost Dream" unfolds inside a surreal, entirely computer-generated dreamscape. A strange journey moves through looping corridors, carpeted spaces, robotic chambers, tropical landscapes, beaches, stars and an enormous floating donut. Jeeps, basketballs, palm trees and other disconnected objects drift through the low-resolution fantasy as if pulled from an old computer screensaver. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the video mirrors the song's uneasy sleep imagery, creating a disorienting world where playful digital forms and ghostly atmosphere continually overlap.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was made as a fan project. Blouse later described it as the "donut" video and said its creators approached the band with the idea.

• Its deliberately crude computer animation recalls early 1990s and mid-1990s CGI, Macintosh clip art and screensaver graphics. The primitive look became a central part of the video's appeal.

• The production was credited to $ANDBOXXX and appeared online in 2012, several months after the release of Blouse's self-titled debut album.

• The video's images deliberately avoid a literal interpretation of the lyrics. Instead, its parade of floating objects and unstable spaces visualizes the sensation of being trapped inside an unsettling dream.

• "Ghost Dream" was included on Blouse's 2011 self-titled album, released through Captured Tracks.
