Synopsis

A solitary dancer moves through the crowded winter streets of New York, his fluid, acrobatic performance contrasting with the hurried flow of pedestrians around him. The city sequence gradually gives way to a snow-covered forest, where the choreography becomes more expansive and connected to the landscape. The video treats dance as a form of escape from urban pressure, moving from congestion and urgency toward stillness, space, and a more natural environment.

• "Dreamin'" was Pillar Point's first music video and accompanied the project's self-titled debut album on Polyvinyl Records.

• The video stars dancer Daisuke Omiya, one of the performers associated with the dance film "Girl Walk // All Day."

• The production was filmed in New York City and in an upstate forest during three sub-zero shooting days. The heavy snow and extreme cold became significant practical challenges for the cast and crew.

• The video's central contrast between the city and the countryside was part of its original creative concept: the dancer's movement was shaped around yearning, urgency, stealthiness, and joy.

• Most of the footage was shot on a RED Epic camera at high frame rates, allowing the performers' movements to unfold in pronounced slow motion. A Mobi camera stabilizer was used for moving shots.
