Synopsis

Deep in the Australian wilderness at night, a troubled man leads a reluctant boy through the darkness and up a mountain. The journey is tense and mysterious, with the isolated landscape, towering trees, and star-filled sky creating an ominous atmosphere. As they climb toward the summit, the man's determination suggests that he is pursuing something more significant than a simple destination. The video builds toward a stark, unsettling conclusion that mirrors the song's themes of distance, uncertainty, mortality, and finding meaning beneath an apparently indifferent universe.

• "Dead Star Shine" was the second single from Horrorshow's third album, "King Amongst Many," released in August 2013.

• The video was shot at You Yangs Regional Park in Victoria, Australia. Its remote bushland setting gives the clip a stark, cinematic quality that contrasts with the urban imagery often associated with Australian hip-hop.

• The production used an Arri Alexa camera. Josh McKie handled the cinematography, while Suga Suppiah edited the footage and Roslyn Di Sisto completed the color work.

• Clement Lazarro and Cristin Daniel play the boy and the father-like adult at the center of the story.
