Niki & The Dove - Tomorrow

Music Video

Wiki

Synopsis

Malin Dahlstrom travels through a surreal, outer-space landscape in search of her bandmate, Gustaf Karlof. Cast as an astronaut, she moves from stark cosmic imagery toward a vividly colored world, turning the song's longing and uncertainty into a small-scale science-fiction journey. The video treats separation as a physical voyage: an emotional search across strange terrain that gradually shifts from isolation to discovery. Gustaf remains the destination rather than a conventional on-screen partner, keeping the focus on Malin's quest.

Factoids & Trivia

  • The video premiered in late March 2012, shortly after "Tomorrow" received its first radio exposure on Annie Mac's BBC show.
  • "Tomorrow" is the opening track on Niki & The Dove's debut album, "Instinct," which was released on May 14, 2012.
  • Malin Dahlstrom appears as an astronaut, an unusual visual choice for a synth-pop single and one that gives the video its science-fiction character.
  • The clip was presented as part of the campaign for the duo's move into the international pop market, with the song released through Mercury Records in the UK.
  • Online versions of the video circulated through the band's official YouTube channel and Vimeo, helping establish the track's visual identity before the album's release.
