Hey peeps, I was watching nfl football [GO COWBOYS =)] and I saw the Hummer commercial in which this kid is making a H2 for his box car racer, and the commercial is hillarious, but...the music is the final touch. That song just makes it one of those commercials that stays wit you for awhile lol. I know it sounds weird since you ppl are probably thinking that since I watch the nfl that Im some white guy with a beer belly, but that's not the case =/ Please email me @ nikeryguy2001@yahoo.com or just respond to this forum that I'll probably never EVER come back to lol thx alot ppl.

It must've been the 'why-didn't-i-think-of-that' coolness of the ad, And 'Happy Jack' by The Who kicked it up a friggin notch!

Happy Jack wasn't old, but he was a man.
He lived in the sand at the Isle of Man.
The kids would all sing. He would take the wrong key
So they rode on his head in their furry donkey.
The kids couldn't hurt Jack.
They tried and tried and tried.
They dropped things on his back
And lied and lied and lied and lied and lied,
But they couldn't stop Jack or the water's lapping
And they couldn't prevent Jack from being happy
But they couldn't stop Jack or the water's lapping
And they couldn't prevent Jack from being happy.
The kids couldn't hurt Jack.
They tried and tried and tried.
They dropped things on his back
And lied and lied and lied and lied and lied,
But they couldn't stop Jack or the water's lapping
And they couldn't prevent Jack from being happy.

What a fitting plotline: Happy Jack fixes up a Hummer plywood prototype, checks the racecourse with a map,and then cheats to win!
Moral of our story: start the kids young on the path to stolen contests---A classic Right Wing tale of redemption.

Ben
Hey guys --

I just read an article on Slate.com that is uncannily similar to the things that have been pointed out by you guys. The writer even mentions that the ad reminds him of Rushmore.

I think the writer read this string and then wrote his article. What do you think? You can find the article at:

http://slate.msn.com/id/2091577/

Check it.
