Synopsis

Filmed in stark black and white, the video follows a young boy growing up without a dependable father. At home, he is left to cope with loneliness and family tension while his mother struggles to keep the household together. Scenes of arguments, isolation, and incarceration mirror 2Pac's angry, personal verses about absentee fathers and the damage they leave behind. Wycked joins him on the track, while the narrative gives the song a dramatic, almost short-film presentation centered on the boy's emotional neglect.

• Vivica A. Fox plays the boy's mother. Tupac Shakur and Mopreme Shakur, credited as Wycked, also appear.

• Wycked was Mopreme Shakur's stage name. He was Tupac's older stepbrother and a member of Thug Life.
