Factoids & Trivia

• TLC shot two earlier versions of the video in Atlanta and Los Angeles, but both were discarded because the group felt they looked too grimy and failed to reflect its artistic growth. The final version was filmed in Los Angeles in August 1994.

• Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes strongly objected to releasing "Creep" as a single because of its infidelity theme and TLC's history of promoting safe sex. She reportedly threatened to cover her mouth with black tape during the shoot.

• The brightly colored satin pajama outfits became the video's defining fashion image. Each custom-made outfit reportedly cost more than $1,000.
