Synopsis

Stevie Nicks performs "I Can't Wait" in a series of theatrical, stage-bound settings that reflect the song's urgent, restless mood. Dressed primarily in black, she sings before a microphone and works a tambourine while dancers and musicians move around her on stairs and platforms. The video shifts between energetic ensemble scenes and more isolated images of Nicks in a small, stark room, creating a contrast between public performance and private tension. Mick Fleetwood makes a playful appearance amid the stylized choreography.

Factoids & Trivia

• "I Can't Wait" was released as the second single from Nicks' third solo album, Rock a Little, which arrived in 1985. The single reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1986.

• The video features Nicks' brother Christopher, longtime backing vocalists Sharon Celani and Lori Perry-Nicks, choreographer Brad Jeffries, and Mick Fleetwood.

• Nicks' tambourine work and black performance clothes recall the visual language associated with her earlier performances of "Rhiannon" with Fleetwood Mac.
