Synopsis

Mariah Carey arrives at a lavish movie theater with friends after learning that her boyfriend is cheating on her. Inside, she spots him with Bianca Storm, her brunette alter ego, and turns the screening into a playful revenge mission involving popcorn, dancing, and a food fight. Carey confronts Bianca near the restroom before returning to embarrass her boyfriend with a large soda. In this version, Jay-Z's rap section is accompanied by live footage of him performing from a jacuzzi rather than the animated sequence used in the first cut.

Factoids & Trivia

• This version was created to include Jay-Z after contractual restrictions prevented him from appearing in the first release. The replacement footage was reportedly broadcast by MTV on August 30, 1999.

• During Jay-Z's verse, he and Carey appear in a Scarface-inspired jacuzzi sequence. The scene replaces the animated movie shown during the same section of the better-known version.

• The main theater footage was filmed at the Los Angeles Theatre in downtown Los Angeles from July 30 to August 1, 1999.
