Synopsis

Craig Mack and his guest MCs deliver the remix as a tightly staged performance piece. Shot in stark black and white against a mostly empty soundstage, the video moves between Mack's commanding presence and individual spotlight moments for The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, and Rampage. Fast cuts, animated gestures, and occasional group shots give the clip a raw cypher-like energy. The presentation keeps attention on the rappers, their contrasting flows, and the track's emerging Bad Boy Records identity.

Factoids & Trivia

• The remix brings together Craig Mack, The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, and Rampage. It also includes additional ad-libs from Puff Daddy and brief vocals from Keisha Spivey of Total.

• Unlike the original video's Queens locations, the remix was filmed on a soundstage and presented in black and white.

• Cinematographer Isidro Urquia handled the video's stark visual photography, helping create the high-contrast look associated with several early 1990s hip-hop clips.

• The video includes appearances by Das EFX, Mic Geronimo, Irv Gotti, and Funkmaster Flex, none of whom contribute verses to the recording.

• The remix became the best-known visual version of the song and helped establish the early Bad Boy roster as a high-profile collective rather than merely a backing label for Mack.

• The track was released in 1994 as a remix of Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear," with a new Mack verse and guest verses replacing the original track's solo focus.
