Synopsis

Alan Jackson turns "Summertime Blues" into a rowdy rural party. The video opens with Jackson water-skiing before moving to a live performance staged in the bed of a pickup truck. The action soon shifts to a muddy backwoods gathering packed with four-wheelers, off-road trucks, a limousine full of farmers, and people joyfully wrestling in the mud. Jackson spends most of the chaos remarkably clean, but eventually gets pulled into the mess. The video closes with him posing as a scarecrow.

• Released in June 1994, the video was made as a sequel of sorts to Jackson's "Chattahoochee" video. Its opening water-skiing shot continues the earlier video's closing moment.

• The production leans heavily into mud-bogging culture, featuring Jeeps, pickup trucks, ATVs, and a stretched limousine that looks particularly out of place in the rural setting.

• Jackson recorded "Summertime Blues" for his 1994 album *Who I Am*. His version was a country cover of the 1958 Eddie Cochran and Jerry Capehart song.
