Synopsis

Enrique Iglesias works behind the bar of a stylish nightclub, where he watches a troupe of flamenco dancers perform under flashing lights. His attention settles on the lead dancer, played by Staci Flood, and the two gradually begin sharing flirtatious looks and intimate dance moments. Intercut with the performance footage are scenes of Enrique and Flood connecting away from the stage. After the club empties, the pair leave together, giving the otherwise performance-driven video a romantic resolution.

Factoids & Trivia

• This European dance cut is the nightclub version of "Bailamos," also commonly identified as the Paul Hunter version. It differs completely from the Western-themed US soundtrack video.

• "Bailamos" received three substantially different music videos in 1999. The first was filmed in Miami, the second tied the song to *Wild Wild West*, and this version focused on nightclub choreography and romantic tension.

• The lead dancer, Staci Flood, later became widely recognized for her role in Enrique Iglesias' video and subsequently appeared in Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body."

• The US soundtrack video presents Iglesias as a wanted man and incorporates footage and imagery from *Wild Wild West*. The dance cut avoids that movie connection and instead emphasizes Latin dance, club atmosphere, and sensual performance.

• The song was initially associated with Iglesias' Spanish-language era before becoming a major international breakthrough and appearing on the soundtrack to *Wild Wild West* and his first English-language album, *Enrique*.
