Synopsis

Phil Collins performs "One More Night" alone in a quiet, nearly deserted bar. Seated at a Yamaha CP-70 electric piano, he sings the pleading ballad as the camera moves through the dim, sepia-toned interior. Daryl Stuermer and saxophonist Don Myrick appear during the performance, while the closing moments show Collins finishing the song, saying goodbye to the bartender, and walking out into the night.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was filmed at The Princess Victoria, a pub at 1 Becklow Road in Shepherd's Bush, West London. The venue was owned by Virgin Records founder Richard Branson at the time.

• The same pub interior was used for the "Sussudio" video. "One More Night" presents the location as closed and empty, in sepia tones, contrasting with the crowded, full-color setting of "Sussudio."

• The clip functions as a continuation of "Sussudio." The two videos were later presented together without a break on Phil Collins' long-form release "The Singles Collection."

• Daryl Stuermer, Collins' longtime guitarist and touring collaborator, makes an appearance. Don Myrick of the Phenix Horns also appears and performs the saxophone part heard near the end of the song.

• Collins is shown playing a Yamaha CP-70 electric piano, although the recorded electric-piano part was made with a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer.

• Released from the 1985 album "No Jacket Required," "One More Night" became Collins' second US number-one single. It reached number four in the United Kingdom.
