Synopsis

Marteria is trapped in a stiff, middle-class domestic routine, sitting among carefully arranged furniture and family figures while the world around him feels gray and airless. A mysterious woman arrives and pulls him out of that small, controlled existence. As her presence takes over, the setting becomes brighter and more surreal, matching his rush of infatuation and release. He leaves behind convention, caution and the expectations of others, surrendering to a dazzling new reality in which she becomes the center of his universe.

• "Verstrahlt" was released in August 2010 as a single from Marteria's album "Zum Glueck in die Zukunft," featuring Yasha.

• The video's official making-of describes the concept as an escape from a dreary everyday life. The woman's arrival turns the protagonist's surroundings bright and liberating, reflecting the song's imagery of love-induced euphoria.

• The production was handled by We Are Chopchop. The central female role was played by Elena Garcia-Gerlach.

• The video was nominated for Best Music Video at the Echo Awards for 2010.

• In September 2010, the official clip was removed from YouTube during the licensing dispute between YouTube and GEMA. Reports at the time said it had already received almost three million views.
