Synopsis

In a classroom at a Catholic high school, Britney Spears grows restless as she waits for the bell to ring. Once school lets out, she and her classmates break into energetic dance routines in the hallways, courtyard, and gym. Between performances, she spots a boy she likes and imagines winning his attention. The video ends with Spears still in class, revealing that the lively school-day adventure was a daydream before the final bell sends her outside.

• The video was filmed on August 7 and 8, 1998, at Venice High School in Los Angeles, California.

• The school setting and Catholic schoolgirl concept came from Spears herself. She suggested the idea of friends sitting bored in class before bursting into dance when the bell rang.
