Synopsis

The Zutons perform outdoors while a series of increasingly absurd mishaps unfolds around them. A dress swings overhead, a cat drinks spilled milk, and the spreading liquid sets off a chain of visual accidents. The band carries on through the disorder, barely reacting as the environment becomes more chaotic. In the final twist, a large billboard collapses onto the musicians, seemingly burying them. Rather than ending the performance, the group continues singing and tapping their feet beneath the wreckage.

Factoids & Trivia

  • "Pressure Point" was released in January 2004 as the first single from The Zutons' debut album, Who Killed...... The Zutons?. It became the band's first charting single in the United Kingdom, reaching No. 19.
  • The video was included as a bonus feature on the limited CD2 edition of the single.
  • The song later appeared in several Levi's television commercials during 2004 and 2005, helping give The Zutons exposure beyond the British indie scene.
  • The music video was also featured on a PSP demo disc, making it especially memorable to players who encountered it as part of the console's promotional material.
  • "Pressure Point" was used in EA Sports' MVP Baseball 2005.
  • The video's deliberately chaotic visual style reflects the song's restless, garage-rock energy, with ordinary objects and small accidents escalating into a cartoon-like disaster.
  • The official upload of the video appeared on The Zutons' YouTube channel in 2011, although the recording and original video date back to the band's 2003-04 breakthrough period.
