Synopsis

An ordinary workday becomes a meticulously measured journey through modern urban life. The video follows a young London woman from her morning routine to her commute, office hours, lunch, shopping, and return home. Rather than using live action, it presents every detail through clean computer animation, infographics, labeled objects, diagrams, statistics, and isometric views. Daily habits are connected to the industrial systems behind them, turning a simple day into an analytical portrait of consumption, infrastructure, and routine.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was created by H5, the French graphic design and animation studio founded by Ludovic Houplain and Herve de Crecy.

• H5 described the concept as an observational study of society, using data to examine the life of a young Londoner.

• Its minimalist visual language combines labeled close-ups, flowcharts, product lifecycles, maps, tables, and technical diagrams. The predominantly isometric style gives the entire piece the appearance of an animated information graphic.

• The video uses "Someone Else's Radio Mix" rather than the album version of "Remind Me." The remix was issued in connection with the single release.

• "Remind Me" won Best Video at the 2002 MTV Europe Music Awards.

• In 2003, Slant Magazine ranked it number 74 on its list of the 100 greatest music videos.

• H5 later used a closely related infographic approach for an advertisement for the French energy company Areva.
