Synopsis

"Great Strings" unfolds as a sun-drenched, sensual portrait of bodies in nature. Young men and women wander, pose, embrace and move freely across beaches, dunes and dense coastal vegetation, with the camera lingering on skin, hair, sunlight and small gestures. The imagery favors atmosphere over narrative, creating a dreamlike vision of youth, desire and uninhibited freedom. Rather than following a conventional storyline, the video builds a tactile, almost hallucinatory mood in which human bodies appear to merge with the landscape.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was the result of the m-v-f Future Talent competition, launched during the Music Video Festival in January 2013.

• Filming took place along the coast of Sao Paulo in April 2013. The production included two days in Ubatuba, one day in Juréia and two days in Riviera, followed by an additional studio day.

• The studio footage of Holger was not used in the released version, leaving the finished video focused almost entirely on the outdoor imagery.

• The concept grew out of Luciano Ferrarezi's research and personal experiences involving psychoactive plants, which helped shape the video's altered, sensory atmosphere.

• The people appearing on screen, as well as much of the crew, were friends or friends of friends. The production was built around a close-knit, informal network rather than a traditional casting process.

• Ferrarezi said the nudity was intended to suggest innocence and an almost childlike sensory openness, rather than vulgarity or overt eroticism.

• The shoot produced an unexpected road story: while returning from Ubatuba, the crew was stopped by a heavily armed police operation after being mistaken for a criminal group using similar cars.
