Synopsis

In a secluded rural commune, a charismatic spiritual leader enjoys absolute devotion from his followers. They attend to his every need, imitate his rituals, and treat his pronouncements as sacred wisdom. As the community's strange customs become increasingly excessive, the leader's authority begins to unravel. The group's adoration gives way to rejection, forcing him to leave the compound in disgrace. Alexander Skarsgard's exaggerated performance gives the surreal story an uneasy comic edge, matching the track's psychedelic, cult-like atmosphere.

• The video premiered on October 10, 2013, ahead of the release of Cut Copy's fourth studio album, also titled *Free Your Mind*.

• Alexander Skarsgard plays the commune's shirtless, long-haired leader. The followers are styled in matching blue Puma tracksuits, giving the group a deliberately uniform appearance.

• The casting came from a chance meeting in Rio de Janeiro. Skarsgard attended a Cut Copy show, introduced himself backstage, and told the band that he had listened to their album *In Ghost Colours* repeatedly while filming *Generation Kill* in the Kalahari Desert. The band later sent him the song, and he agreed to appear.
