Synopsis

Pandit turns "Kathryn, My Love" into a loose, joyful document of friendship and spontaneous performance. In Boise, Lance Smith and his companions wander through public spaces wearing oversized animal heads: a bear, an eagle and a sheepdog. Their strange appearance attracts curious passersby, who respond with photographs, embraces and laughter. The video culminates at a local venue during a drag show, where the costumed group dances alongside the crowd. Rather than following a narrative, the clip captures an affectionate weekend of absurd costumes, shared movement and unselfconscious fun.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video developed from the friendship between Lance Smith and Tyler T. Williams, which began during pre-production for Pandit's "Pack Your Bags" video. Smith subsequently traveled to Boise, Idaho, where Williams lived.

• The original plan involved only Smith wearing a costume. After visiting a local costume shop, the concept expanded to include Kait, who wore the eagle head, and Matt Jones, who appeared as the sheepdog. Smith chose the bear costume.

• Smith recalled that the animal heads were heavy and hot during filming. One of the more chaotic moments came when Williams accidentally stepped in dog feces while helping with the shoot.

• People encountered during the outdoor filming did not simply ignore the costumed performers. Some stopped to take pictures, while others hugged them, adding an unscripted sense of community to the footage.

• The final scenes were filmed at a venue hosting a drag show. The crowd gradually joined the dancing, turning the shoot into something closer to a spontaneous party than a controlled performance.

• Smith described the video as a deliberate move away from the seriousness and depressive tone associated with "Pack Your Bags." Its central idea was to relax, play around and let unexpected moments happen.

• "Kathryn, My Love" originally appeared on Pandit's 2011 album "Eternity Spin." A remastered version was later included on Smith's self-titled 2012 release.

• Both "Kathryn, My Love" and "Pack Your Bags" were featured on the television series "Skins" in the United States and Europe.
