Synopsis

Set in a stylized, shadowy world of film noir, "Lacuna" follows two illustrated characters through a strange and melancholy journey. Live-action footage and animation blend together as the pair move through stark landscapes and dreamlike scenes, with their relationship shaped by distance, loss and uncertainty. The visual mood contrasts the song's bright, melodic pop with a lingering sense of sadness. Rather than presenting a literal storyline, the video uses fragmented imagery and animated movement to evoke the emotional gap suggested by the title.

• The video was made by Last Lynx fans Jonathan Eyre and Christian Stedt, who approached the band with the idea for an animated film noir-style clip.

• Its two central characters were adapted from artwork previously created for Last Lynx by artist Martin Bejbom.
