Synopsis

A lonely man moves through a repetitive daytime routine before transforming into a robot-like figure for a night of clubbing. At the club, he briefly finds the human contact and energy he seems to crave, but the connection fades when the night ends. Wandering through the empty streets at dawn, he returns to isolation, with the contrast between his ordinary life and mechanical nightlife reflecting the song's themes of alienation, longing, and the search for connection.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video was selected as the winning entry in !K7 Records' music video contest for "Lonely C."

• The contest invited filmmakers and fans to create an HD video for the track, with the winner promised a $2,500 prize, international exposure, and opportunities connected to future Soul Clap projects.

• The production was a collaboration between a group of friends and was filmed in downtown Vancouver over five nights, generally between midnight and 4 a.m.

• The filmmakers shot the video with a Canon 7D.

• Some of the most memorable street footage was not fully planned. The appearance of police and a car accident captured behind the main character happened unexpectedly during filming.

• "Lonely C" features Charles Levine, one half of Soul Clap, and was released in March 2011 as part of the Wolf + Lamb vs. Soul Clap DJ-Kicks project.

• The robot character matched the track's processed vocal and synthetic electronic sound, giving the winning entry a visual identity that aligned closely with the music.
