Synopsis

Blood Orange performs amid a cast of dancers and performers in a hazy, retro-styled New York setting. Dev Hynes appears in close-up and full-body shots, surrounded by glamorous figures whose poses, costumes and movements evoke ballroom culture, drag performance and 1980s pop imagery. Street scenes and deliberately degraded visuals give the clip a dreamlike, home-video texture. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the video builds a mood of nocturnal freedom, self-invention and escape through choreography, fashion and fragmented performance.
