Presented like a trailer for a violent crime film, "Welcome Home" follows young Monterrey gangsters through a world of guns, drugs, money, parties and danger. The polished imagery gives the lifestyle an alluring surface, while the escalating violence exposes its darker consequences. The video uses the visual language of Mexican narco cinema, but sets it against Teen Flirt's hazy, R&B-influenced electronic track, creating a deliberately unsettling contrast between seductive sound and brutal subject matter.

• Teen Flirt is the stage name of Mexican producer David Oranday, who was born in Monterrey. The city provides the video's local setting and much of its emotional context.

• Oranday said the concept grew from his memories of teenage toughs who had tried to extort money from a club he and friends operated in Monterrey. One particular young man from a wealthy family became the basis for the video's central inspiration.
