Synopsis

A purely abstract visual trip unfolds in waves of color, texture, and motion. Organic-looking forms seem to bloom, dissolve, and fold into one another, while kaleidoscopic patterns pulse and morph with the track's gradually intensifying electronic architecture. Hints of clouds, foliage, smoke, and other recognizable shapes emerge briefly before being swallowed by the next transformation. Rather than presenting characters or a conventional narrative, the video turns the music into a constantly shifting stream of psychedelic imagery.

Factoids & Trivia

• The track is Vessels' cover of Nathan Fake's "The Sky Was Pink," specifically drawing on James Holden's celebrated remix of the original.

• The single was released in November 2012 through Cuckundoo Records. The accompanying video appeared online around the same period.

• The video was made by Morgan Beringer, whose work combines animation and experimental image manipulation. Its liquid, morphing appearance has often been described in terms of kaleidoscopic or datamoshed imagery.

• The six-minute video was selected for the 2013 edition of Crosstalk Video Art Festival's "Tripoteca - Metaphysical Matters" program, placing it in an explicitly psychedelic and experimental video-art context.
