Eskmo moves through a shadowy natural landscape as the world around him shifts between organic reality and geometric abstraction. Trees, clouds, night skies, and flickering patterns merge into a dreamlike visual field, while time-lapse imagery gives the surroundings an uncanny sense of motion. The video keeps its narrative impressionistic rather than literal, presenting a solitary figure inside a constantly transforming environment. • "Cloudlight" was Eskmo's first single for Ninja Tune and appeared on his self-titled 2010 album. The single "Cloudlight / Come Back" was released in September 2010, ahead of the album's October release.

• Brendan Angelides described the video as coming from a personal and subtle place, adding that there was "lots of story" behind it without spelling out a fixed interpretation. This helps explain why the clip works more as an emotional impression than as a conventional narrative.
