Synopsis

Trophy Wife perform "Wolf" in a surreal, disorienting setting where the rules of gravity appear to have been overturned. The band members are shown upside down and suspended within a vividly colored room, while camera tricks and shifting perspectives make it difficult to tell which way is up. Their restrained performance is intercut with unsettling close-ups and carefully staged visual distortions, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that mirrors the track's brooding electronic pulse and uneasy sense of motion.

• The video was built around practical visual tricks rather than a conventional performance setup, with the deliberately uncomfortable upside-down staging becoming its defining image.

• Kit Monteith said the longest he remained upside down was six minutes. The band joked that passing out was supposedly possible after about ten minutes.

• The physical strain of the shoot was considerable. Joseph Keirs reportedly used an entire can of hairspray to keep his hair looking correct while inverted.

• The set was painted in an exact shade of pink chosen to match the sleeve artwork for Trophy Wife's earlier single "Microlite."

• "Wolf" was produced by Yannis Philippakis of Foals together with Trophy Wife. It was the only track on the "Bruxism" EP that the band built from scratch in the studio, rather than bringing in an existing song.

• The recording sessions for "Wolf" lasted a few intense days, and the band did not use guitars on the track.
