Synopsis

HAIM turn "Forever" into a carefree portrait of sisterhood and youthful energy. The trio perform in their parents' living room, dance in a nail salon, ride bicycles through the neighborhood, and move through the streets with friends and local riders. These contemporary scenes are intercut with personal home-movie footage of Alana, Danielle, and Este as children, connecting their playful present-day chemistry with the family history that shaped them as performers. The result is loose, nostalgic, and deliberately homemade rather than polished or heavily staged.

• Much of the childhood material comes from the sisters' personal home videos, giving the clip a genuine family-documentary quality rather than recreating their past with actors.

• The video was released online through The Guardian before appearing on YouTube on June 7, 2012. It runs for approximately four minutes and six seconds.

• HAIM have recalled that an earlier, very low-budget version of the "Forever" video was made for about $200, before the band had signed a record deal.
