Synopsis

Tommy is watching a Bon Jovi concert on his computer when his mother orders him to take out the trash. A call from Gina alerts him that the concert has already begun, sending him on a frantic dash across Los Angeles. He races through traffic, past Elvis impersonators and unexpected obstacles, while Gina waits at the 2nd Street Tunnel. After a chaotic journey inspired by a race against time, Tommy reaches the concert and joins Gina in the crowd as Bon Jovi perform.

Factoids & Trivia

• The video's central chase was inspired by the 1998 German film "Run Lola Run," using a similarly urgent, obstacle-filled race against time.

• Will Estes plays Tommy and Shiri Appleby plays Gina. Jon Bon Jovi met Estes while working with him on the 2000 war film "U-571" and selected him for the video.

• The concert scenes were filmed in Los Angeles' 2nd Street Tunnel, where Bon Jovi performed for a crowd assembled for the shoot.

• The video helped present Bon Jovi to a younger audience at the start of the band's post-1990s comeback. The group won Video of the Year at the 2000 My VH1 Music Awards for "It's My Life."
