Synopsis
After a mistaken warning that the sky is falling turns him into Oakey Oaks' laughingstock, Chicken Little struggles to rebuild his reputation. When a strange object really does descend from the sky, he and his fellow outcasts discover an alien threat. Little must find the courage to protect his town while convincing its skeptical citizens that he is finally telling the truth.

- Released on November 4, 2005, the film was Walt Disney Feature Animation's first fully computer-animated feature.
- Disney promoted the film as a technical milestone for the studio. It was also among the first major theatrical releases presented in digital 3-D, with specially equipped theaters showing the 3-D version.
- The project began as a father-daughter story featuring a female Chicken Little. The character was later changed to a boy, and the story was substantially reworked around baseball, family expectations, and an alien invasion.
- Chicken Little was loosely inspired by the folk tale commonly known in the United States as "Chicken Little" or "Henny Penny." Disney had previously adapted the story as a 1943 animated short.
- Fish Out of Water's underwater vocal effects were created by editor Dan Molina, who produced the sounds through a tube connected to a tank of water.
- The film became the last Walt Disney Animation Studios feature released on VHS.
- A planned sequel, titled "Chicken Little 2: The Ugly Duckling Story," was developed but ultimately canceled.
