Kate Hall (born May 21, 1983) is a British-Danish singer, composer, television presenter, and vocal coach based in Germany. Born in Harwich, Essex, to an English mother and a Danish father, she moved to Allerod, Denmark, as a young child. Her early training included singing, piano, and dance, and at the age of twelve she joined the Danish Radio Girls' Choir. She made her first studio recordings one year later for the British animated television series Postman Pat.
Hall gained early television experience as a presenter for the Danish music channel The Voice TV Danmark. She also took part in the Danish edition of Popstars, reaching the final and finishing in third place. These appearances helped establish her as a performer comfortable with both music and television, while also giving her an entry point into the Scandinavian entertainment industry.
Her breakthrough as a recording artist came after she was discovered by German producer Alex Christensen. Working with Christensen, Hall released the single "Is There Anybody Out There?" in 2005. The song entered the charts in Germany and Austria, marking the beginning of her career in the German-speaking pop market. Further solo releases included "God's Gift" and "I Feel So Real."
From 2007, Hall became widely associated with singer Ben. The pair released several duet singles, including "Bedingungslos," "Du bist wie Musik," "Ich lieb' dich immer noch so sehr," and "Zwei Herzen." Their joint album Von beiden Seiten, issued in 2008, reached the German album chart. Hall subsequently returned to solo work, releasing the album Himmel um die Ecke in 2009. Around the same period, she issued the single "Die letzte Trane" and appeared with DJ Otzi on "Tranen," which became one of her most successful charting releases in Germany and Austria.
Alongside her recording career, Hall developed a substantial role in television talent programming. She worked as a vocal coach on several seasons of the German version of Popstars and also contributed to the Austrian edition. Her television work expanded through Durchstarter, a Cartoon Network program in which she coached young performers, and Cartoon Network D! Hall of Fame, which she co-hosted with dancer and choreographer Detlef Soost.
Hall continued to maintain links with the Danish music scene. In 2013, she competed in the Danish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "I'm Not Alone." In 2020, she represented Denmark in the Free European Song Contest, a television competition created during the Eurovision cancellation period. Her wider career has also included work as a vocal instructor and author, reflecting an emphasis on performance technique and accessible music education.
Hall's career is defined by its cross-border character. She has worked in Danish, German, and English-language entertainment, moving between pop recordings, television presentation, coaching, and live performance. While her most visible recording period belongs to the 2000s, her work across several media has made her a recognizable figure in German and Danish popular culture.
