Anthony Henderson (born June 17, 1973), better known as Krayzie Bone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from Cleveland, Ohio. He is best known as a member of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, the influential hip-hop group whose rapid-fire delivery, layered harmonies, and melodic approach helped establish a distinctive strain of Midwestern rap. Krayzie Bone has also built a substantial solo catalog and has worked with artists ranging from Mariah Carey and Tupac Shakur to Chamillionaire and Snoop Dogg.
Henderson became involved with the Cleveland group that would develop into Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in the early 1990s. Alongside Bizzy Bone, Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone, he helped shape the group's signature combination of tightly interlocked verses, sung refrains, and accelerated "chopper" flows. Their early recordings attracted the attention of Eazy-E, who signed the group to Ruthless Records and gave them the name Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
Bone's early releases, including the 1994 EP *Creepin on ah Come Up* and the 1995 album *E. 1999 Eternal*, made the group one of the most distinctive acts in 1990s hip-hop. Krayzie Bone's voice and delivery became central to the group's sound, balancing aggressive street narratives with mournful melodies and spiritual themes. The single "Tha Crossroads," a tribute to Eazy-E, became one of the group's defining recordings and earned Bone Thugs-n-Harmony a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1997.
Krayzie Bone began his solo career with *Thug Mentality 1999*. Released as a double album, it presented him as a prolific rapper with a wide range of collaborators while retaining the dark, melodic character of his group work. The album was followed by *Thug on da Line* in 2001, which further established his solo identity. Later releases included *Gemini: Good vs. Evil* and *Too Raw for Retail*, both issued in 2005, as well as the mixtape projects *The Fixtape, Volume 1: Smoke on This!* and *The Fixtape, Volume Two: Just One Mo' Hit*.
His most prominent recording outside Bone Thugs-n-Harmony came through his appearance on Chamillionaire's "Ridin'." The 2006 hit paired Krayzie Bone's rapid, forceful verse with Chamillionaire's lead performance and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2007. The collaboration introduced his distinctive flow to a new generation of listeners and demonstrated how effectively his style could function in a mainstream setting.
Krayzie Bone continued releasing independent and collaborative material throughout the 2010s and 2020s. His later projects include *Chasing the Devil* and *Chasing the Devil: Chapter 2 "Salvation,"* released in 2024. He has also remained connected to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's long-running legacy, appearing in group performances and recordings. In April 2025, all five principal members reunited on the single "Aww Shit," marking a notable return to a full-group format.
Krayzie Bone's importance rests not only on his solo discography but also on his role in expanding the possibilities of rap performance. His blend of speed, melody, and harmony helped make Bone Thugs-n-Harmony internationally recognizable and influenced the later development of melodic and technically fast-paced hip-hop.
