Synopsis

KISS perform "Reason To Live" on a brightly lit concert stage while a parallel drama follows Paul Stanley and an estranged girlfriend played by Eloise Broady. Alone and visibly upset, she lashes out at a photograph of the couple, smashing it with a wine bottle before setting it ablaze. When Stanley arrives at her home, she hides, then douses his Porsche 928 with gasoline and sets the car on fire. The video presents the breakup as a volatile clash between romantic regret and destructive anger.

Factoids & Trivia

• The performance footage was filmed at the Orange Pavilion in San Bernardino, California. The narrative scenes, including the house and the burning car, were filmed in Hollywood.

• Eloise Broady, who plays Stanley's former girlfriend, was a Playboy Playmate and model. Her casting gave the clip a distinctly late-1980s MTV presentation, combining melodrama, glamour, and rock spectacle.

• The Porsche 928 used in the video belonged to Paul Stanley. Gene Simmons had given it to Stanley as a gift in recognition of his dedication to KISS.

• Despite the apparent destruction in the final scenes, the Porsche survived the shoot. Stanley kept the car for several years before eventually selling it.
