Peter Andre (born Peter James Andrea on February 27, 1973) is a British-Australian singer, songwriter, television personality, and occasional actor. Born in Harrow, London, to Greek Cypriot parents, he moved with his family to Australia as a child and was raised in Queensland. His early exposure to music and performance led to an appearance on the Australian talent show New Faces in 1989, when he was 16. The performance resulted in a recording contract and launched a career that would eventually move between Australia and the United Kingdom.
Andre first established himself in Australia with a youthful blend of pop, dance, and contemporary R&B. His early singles included "Drive Me Crazy," "Gimme Little Sign," "Funky Junky," and "Let's Get It On." His self-titled debut album, released in 1993, brought him commercial attention in Australia and helped define the energetic, image-conscious style that became associated with his early work. His appearance on the reality program I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2004 introduced him to a new generation of viewers and helped revive interest in his music. The period also led to the television franchise Katie & Peter, which documented his public relationship and domestic life. Although reality television became a major part of his profile, Andre continued recording and touring.
His later albums include Revelation, Accelerate, Angels & Demons, White Christmas, Big Night, and Come Fly With Me. These releases explored adult contemporary pop, seasonal standards, swing, and classic soul alongside updated versions of his earlier material. Andre competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, finishing in seventh place, and continued to appear regularly on British television. In 2026, he released the single "Rock U Right" and the album Legacy, a collection combining new material with reworked versions of songs from his earlier career.
